Jamba Juice just hit Capitol Hill.
The Jamba Juice Company opened up their newest store in Washington D.C.’s Dupont Circle this week. The newest location — 1333 19th Street, NW, is operated through a joint venture with tennis star and recent Wimbeldon Doubles Champion Venus Williams.
“We are very excited about the partnership we’ve created with Venus and our expansion into the DC metropolitan market,” said James D. White, Chairman, President, and CEO, Jamba Juice Company. “Our entry into the DC market not only brings our healthy living brand to more customers, it also contributes to the economic growth of the city by hiring local residents and becoming an active member of the business community.”
The Dupont Circle location is Williams second venture with Jamba Juice in the region — she opened her first location in Bethesda, Maryland in July of last year. To celebrate the opening of the new location, Williams spent yesterday signing autographs, talking with fans, and walking the Jamba “orange carpet”. She spoke on her commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle, and working with Jamba Juice,
“I am thrilled to be in DC to celebrate the opening of my newest store,” said Venus Williams, Tennis Star and Entrepreneur. “For more than 10 years my family and I have worked closely with the District government and various community leaders to offer adults and children greater opportunities through education and sports. My partnership with Jamba Juice is an extension of that commitment in the fight against obesity and to promote a healthy active lifestyle.” (via Press Release)
Not to be slowed, Williams and Jamba Juice plan on opening another store in Union Station later this week, and more in the coming year.
