Arizona Diamondbacks raise ticket prices for 2011
Going to Arizona Diamondbacks games next season? Expect to pay a little more for your season tickets.
The Diamondbacks are raising their season-ticket prices, next year, to the tune of somewhere in between 50 cents and $2 per ticket. Diamondbacks season ticket packages will include the ability to buy tickets for the already controversial 2011 All-Star game, as well as the D’Backs new spring training home, located on the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community. The cheapest season tickets in the upper deck at Chase Field go from $5 to $6 per game for 81 home games. That hikes the price per seat from $415 to $498. Infield upper deck tickets will increase from $664 per seat ($8 per game for the full season) to $830 ($10 per game).
Other seats also will go up $2 per game, while others, such as $22.50 club seats, are going up 50 cents per game next year for full season tickets. The D-backs sold 12,500 season tickets this season, according to team officials. Partial season-ticket plans for 2011 range about $2 more per game than for the full season. The Diamondbacks are averaging approximately 24,000 fans a game, ranking them 21st out of 30 MLB teams.
The Diamondbacks stadium, Chase Field, has a seating capacity of 49,033.
As of Saturday, the Diamondbacks record is 48-75, 26 games out of first place.
