To watch ESPNU on DirecTV, you have to buy the sports pack. However, a few years ago I use to be on cable and watched it for 'free' during its inception. After switching to satellite (due to HAVING, no, NEEDING, to watch games on Sunday Ticket and Extra Innings) it's been difficult to even watch any Virginia Tech football games since I can't get any local sports games anymore.

In Philly, we don't have ESPNU either. Comcast is spending thousands of dollars in print, tv and radio advertising telling everyone its not their fault we can't see the Big Ten Network (Penn State is big in Philly obviously) because the Big Ten is insisting they pay (and would then pass directly on to the consumers) outrageous costs for the programming. Hell, with all the money Comcast is paying to defend themselves from public outcry, they could have already added the Big Ten Network without increasing any subscriber's costs. As for me, screw the Big Ten Network...where the hell is ESPNU? I live in one of the biggest tv markets in the US and I still don't get ESPNU? Insane. Comcast could at least ask me how much I'm willing to pay for it!
