Hyundai donates 1 million soccer balls to Africa
Hyundai Motors, who are already sponsors of the 2010 World Cup, have decided to give their sponsorship a very positive enhancement.
They’re donating 1 million soccer balls to the host continent.
Hyundai Motor, a sponsor of the 2010 World Cup, plans to donate one million soccer balls to Africa.
The balls will be delivered to African children under the names of people who purchase a Hyundai vehicle or members of the automaker’s official micro-website set up for this year’s soccer event. (via The Chosun)
In what has to be one of the better sponsorship/endorsement tie-in’s ever, the first soccer ball was donated by figure skating gold medalist Kim Yu-Na to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at a World Cup related event in Johannesburg. Kim of course, is a Hyundai spokesperson, as evidenced by the commercial below,
