Michael Strahan on Vaseline: It has many uses!

When you think of Michael Strahan, what comes to mind?  New York Giants Hall of Fame Defensive End? Check. Fox Sports TV personality? uh, kinda.  Subway spokesman? yeah, I’ve seen him with Jared. What about Right Guard? of course. Milk? well, you did just show me the picture. How about Vaseline…?  Uh, what?

Ads featuring the retired defensive end, who is now paid by FOX Sports, were all over ESPN.com this weekend.

Vaseline Men is basically a line of “cleansing and skin care products.” It’s an interesting play for the folks at Unilever, which owns the brand, and an even more interesting endorsement.

“When Unilever approached Michael about serving as a spokesman for their new line of Vaseline Men products, Michael tried the products and really liked them,” his agent Maury Gostfrand of Vision Sports Group told us.

Well, at least its good to know that Strahan isn’t endorsing this product but still, Vaseline?  They make skin care products?  Sounds like they needed this campaign pretty badly, cause uh…who knew?
