Ricky Williams is back, and ready to SMOKE the competition!

| October 1, 2007 More

You read the headline, so you already know what’s going on here. Ricky Williams applied for reinstatement to the NFL. As you may remember, Williams was suspended in April of 2006 after violating the league’s drug policy for the fourth time. On top of that, he again tested positive for marijuana this past April, which ensured his delay would be longer.

Ricky’s team, the Dolphins, are currently 0-4, after yesterday’s loss to the Raiders (where former Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper decided to score 5 touchdowns)…the Dolphins could possibly use the help, although Ronnie Brown seems to be a pretty capable running back, and more importantly, Dolphins coach Cam Cameron hasn’t stated if he even wants Ricky back.

For Ricky’s sake, I want him to come back and do well. I know he’s getting old, but I still think/hope that he has some good years ahead of him. There will always be room for a running back of his present caliber on an NFL team; someone just needs to take a chance.

Ricky Williams is represented by Jerry Maguire Leigh Steinberg, whose contact information I don’t seem to be able to find (isn’t that crazy? the guy they made a movie about, and I can’t find contact information for him?)

As a die hard Longhorn fan, I watched Ricky Williams run over/around every defense he faced in college.. Then he moves to the Pro’s makes Master P his agent *shakes head* And its all down hill from there.. It pains me to say this.. but Ricky should stay gone.. He has lost his passion for the game.. not to mention he is not the same runner he once was!

I got the best quote about this on my post
    I Don’t Believe

“I’ve got $10 on him going MIA when there’s 4:20 left in the 1st.”

  3. i really dont care if any professional athlete smokes pot. its funny to me that its the same suspension as steroids. merriman gets on the juice (obvious performance enhancing) and is suspended for 4 games – comes back and is still praised like he did nothing wrong. ricky smokes pot (definitely doesnt help him run) and he is a laughing stock.

    something seems phishy.

  4. Very nice. Thanks for this.
