The 7th annual Relay Worldwide Sports Sponsorship Symposium will take place September 30-October 1st in New York City. The event is co-sponsored by Street & Smith (the makers of Sports Business Journal/Sports Business Daily). Looks like a pretty worthwhile event. Details are below,
The Relay Worldwide Sports Sponsorship Symposium will take place in New York City at the Marriott Marquis on Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 1.
At the heart of the Symposium will be discussions focusing on the fundamental shifts that have taken place in sports sponsorship including all aspects of the sports marketing equation – from media to athlete endorsements to consumer behavior.
The program will also highlight some of the year’s most innovative marketing ideas and sponsorships:
• The rebranding of Gatorade
• Procter & Gamble’s NFL sponsorship
• Sports and Hispanic America
• LifeLock’s bold foray into sports marketingThis year’s symposium will also include a keynote address by Uli Becker, CEO and President, Reebok International who will share the company’s innovative plans for putting the “fun” back into sports.
Just as we do in our new “Up Next” column in the SportsBusiness Journal, we will conduct a futurecast on the industry and consumer spending in a discussion with ESPN Sports Poll Founder Rich Luker and former Nike and Starbucks consumer insights head Jerome Conlon, among others.
