Steroids is always one of my favorite topics to rant on. I always fall back on the concept of people taking all sorts of medications and prescriptions to get through each day of their life, their workdays, etc. Seems like everybody's "on something" in order to improve their lot in life - functioning in the workplace would be a natural domino effect of that. I never have had an issue with an athlete wanting to beef up, speed up, etc. Improving athletic performance through drugs is no different to me than taking antidepressants, steroids, muscle relaxers...whatever...in order for anyone else to do their jobs better. I hear a lot of sports fans still hung up on tradition and old-school wishes all trying to keep alive the ridiculous notion they can keep medicine out of sports. Let people do what they want - it's their bodies, their endeavors and their desire. This steroid witchhunt is insane because someone is going to keep coming up with pharmaceutical ways to dodge tests and enhance performances. Big business equals taking risks...including cheating...whatever your concept of cheating might be.
