The Future of Sports & Sports Business: Introduction

Posted on March 26th, 2009. Written by Emmett Jones.

In the coming weeks, I’ve decided to do a series of posts regarding the future of sports & sports business.  Due to a myriad of reasons, be it economic, technological, health, ethical, etc., the landscape of sports and sports business is changing at a pace more rapid than ever before.  What must those in the sports media field do to keep up with the ever-changing landscape?  Who has already been left behind?  At the end of the day, will this evolution help, or hurt sports & sports business?

These topics and a few others will be covered in the series.  The plan is to look at different aspects of sports business, and discuss the future in that particular field.  All posts will be linked back to this page, as well as their own posts.  Up first, is a look at the future of communication.
