The St. Louis Rams are nothing, if not social.
The Rams have partnered with Wayin, a Denver-based social engagement platform, to create a new three-pronged social media hub that will allow the team, their fans, and media to interact and share social content. The new social media hub will house various pieces of information including team updates, pictures and tweets, and player statistics. The Wayin hub will also rely on Twitter-integrated polls allowing for real-time fan engagement and interaction.
“Social media, especially on mobile devices, is becoming mainstream in sports – whether you’re in front of the TV, on the field or in the stands,” Said Wayin CEO Elaine Wood. “It makes sense that teams like the Rams are looking for ways to innovate how they engage socially. WayinHub allows them to do just that quickly and easily while having the customizable, flexible control to grow with their fans and team.” (via Press Release)
The Rams are the latest team to rely on Wayin for their social engagement; the company already has partnered with the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons in the NFL and had previously worked with the San Jose Sharks during the NHL Playoffs.
